India has filed a petition urging on the suspension of Jadhav’s death sentence expressing that they fear Pakistan might execute him before the hearing. Pakistan has alleged that Kulbhushan Jadhav was an agent of India’s external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). However, India has clearly denied about his connection with the government. India in its appeal said that Kulbhushan Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran, where he was actually doing business after retiring from his Indian navy job.
Former Indian navy officer, Kulbushan Jadhav was given death penalty after he was found guilty of being a spy of RAW. The army officer was apprehended by Pakistani forces on March 3, 2016. However, Jadhav never had any connection with the government to work as a SPY.
