In a shocking incident from Bengaluru, it was noted that 23-year-old woman was locked inside the cab by Ola driver using the child lock and started molesting her. According to the woman, who is a fashion stylist, the cab driver tried to touch her inappropriately after locking her inside the cab.

This incident took place on Sunday night at around 10.30 pm when the woman was traveling alone from Indiranagar to BTM Layout in the Ola cab driven by Rajashekhar Reddy.

After the incident, the driver made several calls to the girl and threatened her for dire consequences if she tried to complain about him to the police. The woman explained that when the cab reached the Intermediate Ring Road, the driver stopped the car and then tried to touch her inappropriately.

The woman then tried to ask for help and started banging on the car windows after which the driver allowed her to go. In order to save herself, she started running to the Ejipura traffic signal, which was 500 m from the spot.

However, Ola expressed their regret on the incident and tweeted,

“We regret the unfortunate experience the customer had during their ride. We have zero tolerance to such incidents and the driver has been suspended from the platform as an immediate action upon receiving the complaint. We have also urged the customer to lodge a formal complaint with the authorities. Safety of customers is our priority and we will continue to extend our full support to this investigation against the said driver.”
