Nepotism has always been the root of most of the controversial matters in Bollywood. There is a huge wide gap between the actor and actresses, which has invited a lot more of controversy to the industry. Well, actresses like Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Vidya Balan are fighting against sexism in Bollywood while actors like Salman Khan, Tiger Shroff etc thing that sexism is something which should always exit in the industry.
Recently, Tiger Shroff attracted a lot of attention and controversy for comparing his co-star as padding. The actor made a sexist remark on the Bollywood actresses, which will surely make him suffer in near future. Recent reports say that Tiger Shroff is gearing up for Student Of The Year 2 movie and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya Pandey are making their debut opposite him in the movie.
During his recent interview with Midday, here is what Tiger Shroff said, “When I work with someone who is my junior, I know exactly what the person is going through. I’ve never felt the need to work with established actresses even though I have had the opportunity to work with the beautiful and fantastic Shraddha Kapoor (Baaghi) and Jacqueline Fernandez (A Flying Jatt).”
However, he did not stop there and continued to make a sexist remark, “I don’t get involved with the casting at all. I don’t really care about the padding around me. It’s the script and my character that matter.”
This comment clearly shows that acting with junior or unestablished Bollywood actress does not mind him as he feels that are just like padding around him. It might be said that his recent statement was not disrespecting but it does kind of indicate that women in movies are only for objectification and voyeurism.
