Winning millions of hearts around the world, a girl from Haryana Manushi Chhillar was crowned as Miss World 2017 on November 18. It is a pride moment for India and they surely can’t help it! This 20-year-old MBBS student from Haryana has brought back the Miss World Crown to India which was last cliched to Priyanka Chopra in the year 2000. Competing against 108 contestants across the world, Manushi Chhillar has won the prestigious title yesterday.
Stephanie Hill from England was announced as the first runner-up and Mexico’s Andrea Meza was the second runner-up. For the final question at the competition, Chhillar was asked:
“Which profession deserves the highest salary and why?”

To which she replied:
“I think a mother is of the highest respect. I don’t think its just about cash but love and respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. Mother should get the highest respect.”
This answer given by Manushi left the judges, contestants, as well as the other audience, impressed! She not only floored everyone with her beauty but her intelligence was on point!

Manushi said that she grew up getting inspired by Reita Faria, the first Indian and Asian to win the Miss World crown in 1966. She sacrificed one year of studies for participating in the pageant competition!
