Recently, Shital Mahajan, a woman from Pune managed to skydive wearing a saree. The 35-year-old skydiving expert now runs a skydiving academy called Phoenix Skydiving. She has already bagged 6 world and 17 national records to her name in skydiving.

No only that, but in 2011, Indian Government honored Shital with a Padma Shri. Now Shital has done something unbelievable and she truly deserves a round of applause for her recent work. This time, Shital made a record adding a desi twist to it.

The young woman skydived from 13,000 feet at Pattaya, Thailand’s Thai Skydiving Centre wearing a saree. Yes, you heard it right! She attained his feat wearing a nauvari saree and gracefully completed the task.

Wearing a bright pink nine-yard saree, Shital decided to do this task wearing a saree because she wanted to do something to pay a tribute to her Maharashtrian culture. Not only this, Shital says that this is also a tribute to women ahead of woman’s day which is celebrated on 8th March.

Sheetal also holds the honor of the youngest woman skydiver to parachute over North and South Poles.
