People are literally getting psyched with the New Year Party they are going to attend after few days. It was a great time for people in Bangalore, as it was reported that Sunny Leone is going to perform at the New Year Party this year. Well, according to recent reports, Sunny Leone will not be performing on the New Year party as protestors have threatened to commit mass suicide on New Year’s eve if she was allowed to perform there.
Last week, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Yuva protested against the event and demanded its cancellation. The reason behind their protest was an assault on their culture. The President of the organization said that,
“We are against Sunny wearing short clothes. If she wears saree and takes part in the event, even we’ll go watch her. Sunny doesn’t have a good past. We shouldn’t be encouraging such people. We will not hesitate to commit suicide on December 31.”
Even Home Minister, Ramalinga Reddy supported the organization stating that the event should be canceled due to the law and order issue. After getting threats from the organization, Sunny Leone had no choice but to turn down this offer and cancel the event. She took on Twitter to announce that she will NOT be performing in Bangalore on the New Year Eve. Here is what she tweeted
“Since the police of Bengaluru have publicly said that they will not be able to ensure mine, and all who attend, safety for my New Years event, my team and I feel, safety of the people should always come first. Therefore, I cannot attend. God bless and I wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year.”
Slamming the people who blindly support others, Sunny Leone posted a message which cited as,
“To all those who protested and to all those who supported, always remember, never allow others to speak and choose for you.Have your own voice and make your own choices. You are the youth and you are the NEW INDIA! Stand Proud and Stand together. I love you all dearly!”
The new year eve party was planned two months ago and the programme was supposed to feature Ms. Leone, Progressive Brothers, DJ Vilas Monnappa and Kannada rappers All OK. However, if you had planned your New Year’s Eve in Bangalore, Sunny is no more performing there.
Well, how Sunny Leone handled the matter in a dignified manner has won our hearts.
